Assembly DETAILS 1st Shift | Location: Columbus, OH. About the Assembly role – Use of various hand tools, equipment, and materials to complete, inspect, test, and clean mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies to prepare for shipment. -Use specifications and documentation to prepare and assemble quality products. -Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. -Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment and follow prescribed regulations. – Complete tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision. – Be able to work with speed and accuracy. – Interact professionally and effectively with a diverse group of employees and customers. – Learn and practice standard operating procedures. – Maintain prompt and regular attendance based on the work hours established by management. – Handle confidential information with tact and discretion. -Other duties as assigned. – Fluent in English (reading & writing also) – Strong attention-to-detail skills – Have good vision – have to visually inspect small items for accuracy for an extended period of time – Have manual dexterity – will be handling small parts – Basic Computer Skills – Good problem-solving. troubleshooting skills – Prior experience/hobby with using small hand tools/equipment to inspect electrical assemblies preferred (this is considered entry-level) – Be able to lift 25 lbs (not repeatedly, but on occasion)
