Job Description

Job Summary: Oversees the safety function at the plant including, but not limited to, First Aid and first response to accidents and injuries, accident investigations, safety training, safety audits, plant walk-throughs, serving as the point of contact for security issues, assisting line managers/supervisors in safety awareness issues and safety risk reduction measures. Job Qualifications: • Employee engagement and interpersonal skills. • Must be willing and able to walk throughout the plant for at least 50% of the day. • Self-motivated with the ability to follow up on daily assignments, and short-term and long-term projects. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required, ability to send/receive emails and complete/edit/scan various reports. • Basic working knowledge of safety, OSHA, GMP, and environmental compliance standards in an industrial plant setting. Job Duties: • Conduct plant safety audits, plant walk-throughs, and safety spot checks related to Taylor Farms PPE, Safety Policies, and Procedures. • Assist in plant safety, health, and environment programs as needed (may require additional training). • Conduct plant safety training when required (e.g., Alchemy). • Must be able to handle any type of accident that occurs at the facility and may also help with personal medical issues (may require additional training). • Working knowledge and understanding of recordable and non-recordable injuries, near-miss incidents, and solutions for prevention (may require additional training). • Maintain or become a First Aid, CPR, BBP, and AED certified first responder. • Must work aligned as a team partner with HR and the Safety Department in Tennessee. • Must champion Safety by setting an example and communicating with all levels of employees. • Must keep all Safety-related medical documents private and secured in a locked room or cabinet. • Will be the primary contact for a local Safety Committee (TN Safety will provide further details). • Assist with plant safety, health, and worker’s compensation compliance; manage, review, and email all accident and incident reports to Safety in Tennessee. • Follow and enforce any, and all additional duties as assigned, including but not limited to continuous improvement through approved classes and seminars related to the safety and security profession and personal growth.

MUST BE BILINGUAL Pay would be between 24-25 an hour Must be available on Saturdays for 4 hours* Employment Requirements: • English and/or Spanish, oral and written, communication skills are required. • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. • High school diploma and/or GED Certificate.
