HVAC Technician Job Details Lexington, KY Monday-Friday | $18-27/hour Overtime possible/ mandatory for on call situations Full-Time HVAC Technician Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or degree from a vocational school is preferred. Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with specific experience in residential systems. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. About the HVAC Technician Role Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in residential buildings. Inspect and maintain existing HVAC systems to ensure they operate efficiently. Diagnose and repair any issues with HVAC equipment. Provide system maintenance and cleaning. Communicate with homeowners to explain system issues and repairs. Ensure compliance with all HVAC codes, standards, and regulations. Prepare service reports and maintain records of completed repairs. Recommend system upgrades and replacements to homeowners when necessary. Participate in on-call or emergency service schedules as required. Van: If they’re given a van to drive (requirements are having a valid driver’s license & journeyman/master HVAC license), that goes home with the technician. They would receive a gas card with their name on it.
