PSC office
SAFETY CLERK
AOC-NO FELONIES 5-7 YEARS
4 PN
$16-$20 DOE, 2ND INTERVIEW
Monday-Thursday 8:00 am-4:30 pm and Friday is 7:00 am-3:30 pm.
This position will be responsible for implementing and supporting the Safety Program at PSC Louisville facilities and OSHA Compliance and Claims.
Keeps current on new ideas and techniques in accident prevention and risk management.
· Conducts safety meetings monthly and quarterly for employees and office staff.· Maintains all records.
· Performs accident investigations, monitors and processes worker’s compensation claims, and coordinates loss prevention activities.
· Continually review our processes from the lens of safety to improve operations,
decrease safety concerns, and work cooperatively with local safety committees.
· Interprets rules, regulations, and procedures for management and employees.
· Keeps current on OSHA standards and regulations, activities, and recent decisions that might affect policies and programs through reading government and professional publications and attending seminars.
· Reports to the Safety Manager, coordinating and supervising OSHA and insurance audits.
· Administers new safety orientation.
· 2+ years of experience with Environmental and OSHA regulations in a manufacturing environment.
· Excellent communication skills including speaking in front a large audience.
· Highly organized and meticulous.
· Above average computer skills including MS Office 365.
· Excellent leadership and critical thinking traits.
· Knowledge of current and pending OSHA regulations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to handle material and machinery. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, walk, reach above head, and climb or balance.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required including color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experiences:
2+ years of experience with Environmental and OSHA regulations in a
manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication skills including speaking in front of a large audience.
Highly organized and meticulous.
Above average computer skills including MS Office 365.
Excellent leadership and critical thinking traits.
Knowledge of current and pending OSHA regulations.
Must submit to a drug screen and background check.
