Electrical Technician I, II, III – Job Details
Location: Louisville, KY
Pay Rate: $23.00 – $29.00 per hour (based on experience and skill level)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, full-time
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
About the Electrical Technician Role
Crown Staffing is hiring for multiple levels of Electrical Technician positions (Level I, II, III) to support a growing industrial team in Louisville, KY. These roles involve troubleshooting and repairing electrical control systems, building control panels, and supporting machinery operations both onsite and remotely. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
-Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls on machinery
-Diagnose whether issues are mechanical or electrical and take appropriate action
-Read and interpret electrical schematics
-Build and wire electrical control panels from the ground up
-Perform occasional remote phone support for equipment issues
-Maintain organization and cleanliness of the panel fabrication area
-Collaborate with other team members to complete electrical projects
-Apply root cause analysis to solve complex machine and equipment issues
-Install and support PLC and CNC machinery control systems
Technician Level Requirements
Level I Technician:
Strong mechanical aptitude with a logical problem-solving mindset
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical schematics
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Skilled in using hand and power tools (e.g., drills, wire crimpers, saws, grinders)
Level II Technician:
-Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical controls
-Assist or lead control retrofit projects
-Capable of providing remote support and diagnosing issues over the phone
-Experience in control panel fabrication and wiring
Level III Technician (Preferred Skills):
-Hands-on field service or on-site troubleshooting experience
-Experience with PLC, HMI, and VFD programming/troubleshooting
-Electrical control panel fabrication expertise
-CAD experience (AutoCAD Electrical) a plus
-Associate degree in industrial electrical technology or related field preferred but not required
