Mechanical engineer
Pay rate $24-30hr
About the Mechanical engineer role
– Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D designs for steel stamp engravings,
cookie, cracker, and snack food dies according to customer specifications.
– Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure designs meet manufacturing
requirements and standards.
– Program CNC machines using CAM software to generate tool paths for machining
operations.
– Perform quality checks on designs and prototypes to ensure accuracy and precision. 5. Make necessary adjustments to designs based on feedback from internal teams or
customers.
– Maintain organized documentation of CAD/CAM files, ensuring version control and
adherence to company standards.
– Maintain accurate documentation and records of design iterations, changes, and
approvals.
– Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to CAD/CAM software or CNC
machines.
– Stay updated on advancements in CAD/CAM technology and incorporate best practices
into daily workflows.
– Work closely with machinists and production personnel to troubleshoot issues, provide
technical support, and ensure smooth workflow.
– Adhere to company standards, policies, and safety regulations at all times.

Job Requirements
– Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam) with
demonstrated experience in creating complex 2D and 3D models.
– Strong understanding of machining processes and principles, including CNC
programming and toolpath optimization.
– Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately. 4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-
quality designs.
– Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with
cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
– Prior experience in the tool and die industry or related manufacturing field is preferred. 7. Associate degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer-
Aided Design, or a related field is a plus.
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
– Experience with 4-Axis (rotary) machining is preferred.
