Material Handler
Shelbyville, KY
Pay: $22.50/hour
Full-Time | 2nd Shift
Schedule Information
- Monday–Thursday
- 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Material Handler Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred
- Forklift experience required; ability to obtain and maintain company forklift certification
- Experience using scanners, inventory systems, and basic computer programs preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of safe material handling and load stability practices
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to train on other shifts as needed
- OSHA 10, First Aid, CPR, and a valid driver's license are preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Load, unload, transport, and stage materials throughout the warehouse and production areas
- Read work orders and move materials according to production requirements
- Load and unload trucks while maintaining accurate documentation
- Perform inventory counts and maintain inventory records
- Use scanners and warehouse systems to track material movement
- Supply production lines with materials and receive incoming shipments
- Conduct routine forklift inspections and basic maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Assist team members and support warehouse operations as needed
