Robot Weld Technician Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of manufacturing, welding, or production experience preferred
- Experience with robotic welding systems, GMAW welding, fixtures, jigs, or tooling is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical documents
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to quality, safety, and detail
About the Robot Weld Technician Role
Crown Staffing is seeking motivated and technically skilled Robot Weld Technicians for a manufacturing facility in Shelbyville, KY. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with welding or manufacturing experience to advance into a more technical role supporting robotic welding equipment, automation systems, and production operations.
This is more than a traditional welding position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with robotics, fixtures, tooling, sensors, and production equipment while helping maintain efficient manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot robotic welding equipment
- Support welding operations and maintain welding qualifications
- Make adjustments to fixtures, tooling, datum points, and sensors as needed
- Assist with robotic programming modifications and equipment adjustments
- Perform preventative maintenance on robotic welding systems
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and support production teams in resolving problems
- Train and assist operators on proper equipment usage and procedures
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and production specifications
- Complete production documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety and quality standards
