RN – Emergency Department
Somerset, KY
Pay: $37.35/hour

Schedule Information
- 12:00 PM–12:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts
Emergency Department RN Requirements
- Active RN license valid in Kentucky
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Minimum of two years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Strong emergency-assessment and triage skills
- Ability to recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Experience administering medications, IV fluids, and emergency treatments
- Strong clinical-documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients.
- Perform rapid and ongoing assessments and prioritize patients according to acuity.
- Monitor vital signs and changes in patients’ conditions.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments.
- Assist with emergency and lifesaving procedures.
- Collect specimens and prepare patients for diagnostic testing.
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Follow all patient-safety, infection-control, and facility procedures.
