Shipping Associate
Location: Shelbyville, KY
Starting Pay: $18.00/hour
Starting Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule Information
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Shipping Associate Requirements
- Previous shipping, warehouse, or distribution experience preferred
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- Ability to accurately process shipping information and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
- Basic inventory and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and carriers
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a warehouse team
- Commitment to workplace-safety procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Enter and update shipping information using computer systems.
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and related documentation.
- Verify product numbers, quantities, and shipping information for accuracy.
- Package, label, stage, and organize outgoing orders.
- Coordinate with warehouse employees and carriers to support timely shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records.
- Identify and report damaged products, shortages, and order discrepancies.
- Keep shipping and staging areas clean and organized.
- Follow established shipping, quality, and safety procedures.
- Perform additional shipping and warehouse duties as assigned.
