Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Shipping Warehouse Associate.
Shipping Warehouse Associate Job Details
Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday, 5:00 PM–3:30 AM
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr
Location: Groveport, OH
Shipping Warehouse Associate Requirements/Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping, loading, or distribution experience preferred.
- Previous experience using an RF scanner required.
- Ability to accurately scan, track, and process outgoing shipments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding warehouse tasks.
- Steel-toed boots or shoes required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift.
- Experience loading and unloading trailers preferred.
- Ability to safely handle packages, cartons, and palletized materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to shipping accuracy.
- Ability to follow shipping schedules and meet daily deadlines.
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ability to identify shipping labels, package information, and shipment details.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, and material-handling tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Ability to recognize and report damaged packages or shipping discrepancies.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a warehouse team.
- Willingness to follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
- No smoking or vaping permitted anywhere on company property.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic required.
About the Shipping Warehouse Associate Role
As a Shipping Warehouse Associate, your responsibilities will include:
- Load outgoing packages and cartons into shipping trailers.
- Ensure shipments are loaded accurately and on time according to shipping schedules.
- Perform floor-loading and pallet-loading of trailers.
- Use RF scanners to scan, track, and process outgoing packages.
- Organize shipments according to scheduled shipping dates and departure times.
- Assist with preparing trailers for outbound shipments.
- Verify shipping labels and package information for accuracy.
- Perform heavy lifting and repetitive material-handling tasks throughout the shift.
- Safely move, stack, and organize cartons inside shipping trailers.
- Maximize trailer space while maintaining safe loading practices.
- Assist with shipment manifesting and documentation.
- Perform safety checks during FedEx pickup trailer swaps.
- Follow established procedures for trailer loading and shipment preparation.
- Inspect outgoing packages for visible damage or discrepancies.
- Identify and report missing, damaged, or incorrectly labeled shipments.
- Maintain an efficient workflow to support daily shipping deadlines.
- Communicate shipment concerns and loading issues to supervisors.
- Work cooperatively with team members to complete scheduled trailer loads.
- Maintain accuracy while handling large volumes of outgoing packages.
- Follow established warehouse shipping and distribution procedures.
- Keep loading areas, shipping stations, and workspaces clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and proper material-handling procedures.
- Complete additional shipping, loading, and warehouse duties as assigned.
