Installer Job Details
Pay Rate: $19 per hour
Location: Gahanna, Ohio
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Installer Requirements/Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass a drug test and DOT examination
- Good driving record and dependable transportation required
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds without assistance
- Basic mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including email, internet, parts lookup software, and reading diagrams
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Previous laundry-industry, electrical, or mechanical experience preferred
About the Installer Role
As an Installer, your responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading laundry equipment from a box truck
- Delivering and installing commercial and residential washers and dryers
- Installing equipment in apartments, college residence halls, laundromats, and commercial laundry facilities
- Refurbishing used equipment and preparing new machines for installation
- Using hand tools to level machines and adjust doors
- Connecting water lines using plumbing tools
- Testing complete washer and dryer cycles and making necessary adjustments
- Completing installation paperwork accurately
- Maintaining and accounting for tools, keys, equipment, and materials
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, and squatting
- Ability to stand or sit for most of an eight-hour shift
- Ability to move heavy equipment using a dolly
