Fort Wayne, IN
Shift: Monday–Friday | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Training Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Approximately 3 Weeks)

CNC Set-Up Technician Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2–5 years of CNC lathe setup experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience performing machine setups and production changeovers on CNC lathes
- Ability to read and interpret G and M codes
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators
- Knowledge of hard turning, green turning, milling, broaching, and part finishing processes
- Experience teaching robot and gantry pickup points preferred
- Knowledge of Nachi robot controls preferred
- General understanding of manufacturing and machining processes
- Ability to work independently and manage production priorities on off shifts
About the CNC Set-Up Technician Role
Crown Staffing is seeking experienced CNC Set-Up Technicians for a manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne, IN. This role is responsible for CNC machine troubleshooting, machine setups, production changeovers, and supporting high-volume manufacturing operations involving CNC lathes and automated equipment.
The ideal candidate will have strong CNC setup experience, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a solid understanding of tooling, programming, and machining processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform machine setups and changeovers on CNC lathes
- Troubleshoot production and machine issues during daily operations
- Update tooling paths and support CNC programming adjustments
- Replace indicators, chucks, and tooling for production changes
- Troubleshoot loading devices and minor machine issues
- Support robot and gantry pickup point adjustments as needed
- Use precision measuring tools to verify product quality and tolerances
- Analyze and resolve production issues using root cause analysis techniques
- Maintain safe, organized, and efficient work areas
- Support production goals while minimizing downtime and scrap
