Physical Therapist Assistant Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license valid in Kentucky
- Two to three years of relevant experience
- Outpatient rehabilitation experience
- Experience assisting with treatment planning and therapeutic interventions
- Strong clinical-documentation skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans established by a licensed Physical Therapist
- Effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with developing and implementing individualized treatment plans under a licensed Physical Therapist’s supervision.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, interventions, and treatment modalities.
- Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients on exercises, mobility techniques, and home-treatment programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in patient-care and discharge planning.
- Follow all patient-safety, infection-control, and facility procedures.
- Perform additional duties within the Physical Therapist Assistant’s scope of practice.
