Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric Unit – Nights
Lexington, KY
Pay: $61.50/hour

Schedule Information
- Night shift
- 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- 12-hour shifts
- 13-week assignment
Psychiatric RN Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Nursing experience providing direct patient care required
- One year of inpatient behavioral-health experience preferred
- One year of medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Ability to float between the Adult and Child psychiatric units
- Willingness to complete cross-training for both units
- Strong patient-assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Compassionate and professional approach to behavioral healthcare
Key Responsibilities
- Provide registered nursing care to patients within the psychiatric unit.
- Float between the Adult and Child units based on staffing and patient-care needs.
- Complete cross-training for both psychiatric units.
- Assess patients and monitor their physical, emotional, and behavioral conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility procedures.
- Recognize and report changes in patient behavior or medical condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate patient updates to physicians and other members of the care team.
- Provide patients and families with appropriate education and support.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and respectful patient-care environment.
- Follow all facility, patient-safety, and infection-control procedures.
- Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.
