Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Flex Operator.
Flex Operator Job Details
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.50/hr
Location: Blue Ash, OH
Flex Operator Requirements/Qualifications
- Previous industrial or manufacturing machine operation experience preferred.
- Paper or pulp manufacturing experience highly preferred.
- Chemical manufacturing or industrial coating experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience working with large industrial machinery preferred.
- Ability to monitor equipment and maintain consistent product quality.
- Strong attention to detail and quality inspection procedures.
- Ability to perform repetitive pushing, pulling, stretching, and material-handling tasks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate steps around production equipment.
- Comfortable working with large rolls of fabric and industrial coating machinery.
- Ability to work independently while monitoring equipment and collaborate during machine changeovers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures.
- Dependable attendance and consistent work history required.
- Interest in a long-term manufacturing career.
- Manufacturing-appropriate clothing and closed-toe work shoes required.
- Ability to wear additional PPE as required.
About the Flex Operator Role
As a Flex Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Operate and monitor large industrial Flex coating machines.
- Monitor fabric as it moves through coating equipment.
- Inspect coated fabric to ensure established quality standards are met.
- Perform frequent quality inspections and collect product samples.
- Identify and report defects or inconsistencies in the coating process.
- Assist with machine changeovers and production adjustments.
- Push, pull, stretch, and feed large rolls of fabric into machine rollers.
- Use overhead hoists to assist with moving large rolls of material.
- Work alongside a three-person machine operating team.
- Monitor slow-moving equipment throughout the production process.
- Assist with troubleshooting and correcting quality concerns.
- Maintain accurate and consistent product quality throughout production.
- Follow established equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area.
- Assist with additional manufacturing duties as assigned.
