Trash Runner Job Details
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $16.00/hr
Location: Dry Ridge, KY
Trash Runner Requirements/Qualifications
- No high school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift materials out of bins approximately 5 feet tall.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Ability to walk extensively throughout a large manufacturing facility.
- Comfortable performing physically demanding cleaning and material handling tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate trash compactors and other cleaning equipment.
- Willingness to clean restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and warehouse areas.
- Ability to handle trash, cardboard, and other industrial waste materials.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Steel-toe safety footwear required.
- Ability to follow all workplace safety procedures.
- Willingness to work mandatory overtime when required, including Saturdays.
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic required.
About the Trash Runner Role
As a Trash Runner, your responsibilities will include:
- Travel throughout the manufacturing facility collecting and disposing of trash.
- Remove parts from boxes and place them on designated shelves for production lines.
- Transport materials and supplies between different areas of the plant.
- Empty large trash bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Operate trash compactors according to established safety procedures.
- Break down cardboard boxes and remove cardboard from pallets and skids.
- Clean warehouse floors and maintain organized production areas.
- Clean and sanitize employee restrooms.
- Maintain cleanliness in breakrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Collect and dispose of waste materials throughout the facility.
- Assist with general warehouse housekeeping and sanitation duties.
- Maintain a consistent workflow while walking throughout the plant.
- Follow proper lifting techniques when handling heavy materials.
- Report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow all company safety policies and cleaning procedures.
- Complete additional cleaning and material handling duties as assigned.
