Essential Job Functions
• Sets up new inspections/sorts/projects per customer/location contact requirements with knowledge of and
compliance with all company policies and process and procedural standards. Supervisors must be able to set up and
run multiple sorts at multiple locations, moving from location to location as needed.
• Utilizes knowledge of the quality function within the automotive industry in order to communicate professionally
with customers and determine production requirements and quality handling method to be used; follows up
with customers/location contacts as needed to ensure they are satisfied with quality of work and to maintain a
positive relationship.
• Communicates with Manager any issues that are brought up by customers/location contacts, as necessary.
• Ensures Team Leaders/Lead Inspectors/Inspectors are following all ISS policies and process and procedural
standards, are fully trained, are consistently performing per specific job instructions, and are following set
breaks, safety rules and dress code as outlined by ISS and specific customer. Coaches and counsels employees.
• Ensures all paperwork related to the sort(s) is filled out correctly and fully including a training sheet filled out
for any sort performed and initialed by appropriate on site contact (QM, SQE, QE, and etc.), daily log of
activities, etc. Ensures paperwork is delivered immediately following each shift to the office for processing.
• Competently utilizes information technology including proficiency with the ISS Network and Inventory Tracker,
and Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Schedules all staffing and logistics requirements for assigned area.
• Takes ownership for assigned area; actively strives to improve ISS work processes and efficiencies. Supervisors
should be adept at solving problems for the customer.

• Standing for long periods of time on various surfaces
• Frequent walking on various surfaces

• Occasional repetitive work with hands
• Lifting < 50 lbs. frequently; > 50 lbs. infrequently
• Ability to pass near vision test
• Ability to drive a car (good driving record)
