Material Handler Job Details

Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

Location: Crittenden, KY

Material Handler Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Sit-down and/or stand-up forklift experience required.
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous shipping and receiving experience required.
Ability to accurately load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping.
Basic computer skills preferred.
Ability to operate powered and manual material-handling equipment safely.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors throughout various weather conditions.
Strong attention to accuracy, organization, and safety.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Jeans, T-shirt, and steel-toed shoes required.
Camo clothing is not permitted.

About the Material Handler Role

As a Material Handler, your responsibilities will include:

Safely operate forklifts and other powered and manual material-handling equipment.
Receive incoming products and prepare outgoing shipments.
Accurately load and unload trucks.
Maintain materials and inventory in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
Ensure proper stock rotation.
Perform frequent and accurate cycle counts.
Supply departments with required materials and stock.
Support machine and assembly line changeovers.
Locate and pick inventory for customer orders.
Use a scan gun to process customer orders.
Follow established shipping, receiving, and inventory procedures.
Maintain strong working relationships with multiple departments.
Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed.
Follow all established workplace safety procedures.
Perform additional material-handling duties as assigned.
