Job Description

PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR
Schaumburg | Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Friday | 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Up to $25.00/hour, Based on Experience | Full-time | First Shift
Press Brake Operator Requirements
  • Previous press brake operating and setup experience required.
  • Must have a current resume or detailed work history/bio.
  • Ability to start the same day if selected and determined to be a good fit.
  • Experience working with a broad range of metals and alloys.
  • Ability to determine the proper dies and complete die setups for various parts.
  • Ability to set gauges and adjust ram stroke to produce accurate parts.
  • Ability to form parts to the proper angle and length without relying on work instructions.
  • Ability to determine the forming sequence for multiple-hit parts, both with and without work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Press Brake Operator Role
As a Press Brake Operator / Setup Operator, your responsibilities will include:
  • Operate press brake equipment to form a broad range of metals and alloys.
  • Produce a variety of large, complex units and precision-formed parts.
  • Determine the appropriate dies for each job based on material and part specifications.
  • Set up and adjust dies to properly form parts.
  • Set gauges and adjust ram stroke to achieve accurate dimensions.
  • Determine the proper forming angle and length for each part.
  • Develop forming sequences for multiple-hit parts.
  • Perform setups and operate equipment with or without detailed work instructions.
  • Inspect formed parts to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Make necessary machine and setup adjustments to maintain required specifications.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area while following established manufacturing and safety procedures.
