We are urgently seeking skilled Maintenance Mechanic's to support our automotive headliner manufacturing partner.
Maintenance Mechanic Job Details
Schedule: 2nd 3p-11p or 3rd shift 11p-7a
Pay Rate: $23-$25 Depending on experience
Location: Kansas City, MO
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements/Qualifications:
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (automotive manufacturing a plus)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Experience working with molds, presses, or assembly line equipment preferred
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Manufacturing plant environment (heat, noise, moving machinery)
- 2nd and 3rd shift positions available, including possible overtime and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and reaching
- Ability to work in tight spaces and at varying heights
About the Maintenance Mechanic Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform preventive maintenance on mold equipment and assembly machinery
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
- Repair and maintain thermoforming molds, presses, and automated assembly systems
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions
- Install, align, and test new or repaired equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
