Job Description

Crown Staffing is looking for an Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician for our partners at a plastic injection & blow molding manufacturer. 

Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Details
Schedule: 2nd shift 3p-11p Mon-Sat
Pay Rate: $20-$26 Depending on experience
Location: Kansas City, MO

 Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician Requirements/Qualifications
  • 2–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience in plastic injection or blow molding (highly preferred)
  • Knowledge of:
  • Mechanical systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Hydraulics & pneumatics
  • HVAC and/or plumbing experience (strong plus)
  • Technical school or associate degree (industrial maintenance, mechatronics, HVAC, etc.)
  • Or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience with plastic processing equipment
  • Certifications (HVAC, electrical, or plumbing)
  • Ability to troubleshoot quickly under production pressure
  • Multi-craft skillset (mechanical + electrical + facilities)
About the Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician Role
As an Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician , your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain and repair:
    • Injection molding machines
    • Blow molding machines
    • Extruders, conveyors, and robotics
    • Troubleshoot:
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Motors, drives, and PLC-controlled equipment
    • Perform preventive maintenance (PM schedules)
  • Facilities & Utilities Support
    • Maintain building systems:
    • Electrical distribution
    • Air compressors and dryers
    • Cooling towers and chillers
    • Handle general facility upkeep (lighting, structural issues, etc.)
  • HVAC Systems (Preferred Skill)
    • Maintain and troubleshoot:
    • Industrial HVAC units
    • Process cooling systems (critical for molding)
    • Refrigeration cycles
    • Temperature control systems
  •  Plumbing Systems (Preferred Skill)
    • Repair and maintain:
    • Water supply lines
    • Process piping (cooling water, glycol systems)
    • Drainage and waste systems
    • Diagnose leaks, pressure issues, and flow problems
  • Electrical & Controls
    • Read schematics and wiring diagrams
    • Work with:
    • 3-phase power systems
    • Sensors, relays, VFDs
    • Basic PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley often used)
