Job Description
Crown Staffing is looking for an Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician for our partners at a plastic injection & blow molding manufacturer.
Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Details
Schedule: 2nd shift 3p-11p Mon-Sat
Pay Rate: $20-$26 Depending on experience
Location: Kansas City, MO
Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician Requirements/Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience in plastic injection or blow molding (highly preferred)
- Knowledge of:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulics & pneumatics
- HVAC and/or plumbing experience (strong plus)
- Technical school or associate degree (industrial maintenance, mechatronics, HVAC, etc.)
- Or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience with plastic processing equipment
- Certifications (HVAC, electrical, or plumbing)
- Ability to troubleshoot quickly under production pressure
- Multi-craft skillset (mechanical + electrical + facilities)
About the Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician Role
As an Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Technician , your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain and repair:
- Injection molding machines
- Blow molding machines
- Extruders, conveyors, and robotics
- Troubleshoot:
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Motors, drives, and PLC-controlled equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM schedules)
- Facilities & Utilities Support
- Maintain building systems:
- Electrical distribution
- Air compressors and dryers
- Cooling towers and chillers
- Handle general facility upkeep (lighting, structural issues, etc.)
- HVAC Systems (Preferred Skill)
- Maintain and troubleshoot:
- Industrial HVAC units
- Process cooling systems (critical for molding)
- Refrigeration cycles
- Temperature control systems
- Plumbing Systems (Preferred Skill)
- Repair and maintain:
- Water supply lines
- Process piping (cooling water, glycol systems)
- Drainage and waste systems
- Diagnose leaks, pressure issues, and flow problems
- Electrical & Controls
- Read schematics and wiring diagrams
- Work with:
- 3-phase power systems
- Sensors, relays, VFDs
- Basic PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley often used)
