Hotel Housekeeper Job Details
Schedule: Thursday-Sunday 9am-5pm
Pay Rate: $17.00
Location: Kansas City, Kansas
Hotel Housekeeper Requirements/Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment as required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and pushing/pulling.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment.
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment.
About the Hotel Housekeeper Role
As a Hotel Housekeeper your responsibilities will include:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and other assigned areas.
- Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest supplies.
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and clean floors and surfaces.
- Clean mirrors, windows, furniture, fixtures, and other room amenities.
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, damage, or missing items and report issues to the supervisor.
- Remove trash and dispose of waste properly.
- Restock housekeeping carts and maintain adequate supplies.
- Follow hotel cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and sanitation standards.
- Respect guest privacy and handle guest belongings with care.
- Respond courteously to guest requests and communicate concerns to management.
- Report maintenance problems, lost-and-found items, or safety hazards promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping storage areas and equipment.
- Complete assigned rooms and tasks within established time standards.
- Work cooperatively with other housekeeping staff and hotel departments.
