Job Description
Crown Staffing is looking for qualified Conversion Operators for our partner in Summerville, South Carolina. The Conversion Operator is responsible for operating the Conversion Line to achieve production requirements to meet customers’ expectations. Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP’s, Work Instructions, and Food Safety Quality system requirements (SQF) are in compliance.
Job duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Safety of personnel and equipment
- Housekeeping, quality, productivity, waste amounts
- Production reports, quality monitors, and other reports as required accurately and timely.
- Helps direct the work and training needs of the crew members in a safe manner.
- Assists in the pre-setup and materials necessary to start an order.
- Works with KON lead to assure oncoming shift has been communicated to and advised of all pertinent information regarding the machine, orders and status of equipment and personnel.
- Can relieve crew for breaks as directed by lead.
- Performs other tasks and assignments as directed by the Supervisor/Shift Lead or other management personnel.
Job Requirements:
- Must know, follow, and demonstrate compliance with all safety rules and understand working safely is a condition of employment.
- Must perform any other duties as directed by Lead Operator or Supervisor.
- Bending, stooping, standing, walking on hard surfaces.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more throughout the shift.
- Ability to work all shifts including 12-hour shifts.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
- Ability to work in hot environments.
- Ability to use hands and arms to operate equipment.
- High School Graduate or GED
- Read and understand manufacturing order
- Understand and demonstrate the mechanics of the machine and properly setting up the machine to meet the requirements of the manufacturing order.
- Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to complete a quality monitor
- Basic computer/ data input skills are required
- Basic math skills and ability to read a ruler are required
- Must consistently meet or exceed start up/shutdown and run scrap goals
- Must work effectively as a team player and demonstrate and promote team spirit
- Must be able to successfully communicate with other team members to ensure customer requirements are met
- Must demonstrate successful knowledge, practice, understand, and compliance of all current work instructions
- Demonstrate, follow, and practice all safety rules, policies, programs and practices at all times.
