Job Description
I. Job Summary / Job Purpose
With minimal supervision, this position is responsible for facilitating pick-ups and deliveries to our customers
using a company vehicle, which may include traveling outside of the local area and overnight stays as required.
II. Key Responsibilities
? Provide excellent service to our customers.
? Assist shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, and checking in equipment/parts/supplies.
? Obtain customer signature upon delivery.
? Responsible for locking company vehicles while traveling and prior to end of shift.
? Maintain electronic log of travel and DOT physical as defined by the Department of Transportation.
? Drive all company vehicles in a safe manner.
? Build shipping pallets for freight/delivery.
? Proper operation of equipment to safety of productivity requirements, including but not limited to: Lift
truck, hand trucks, pallet jack, dolly, and forklift to convey, move or hoist materials to proper areas.
? Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
? Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined
sequence such as size, model, serial number, or product code.
? Assembling customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating to a
holding area.
? Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
? Opening bales, crates, and other containers.
? Clean equipment to prepare for the sale of such.
? Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
? Assisting in counting of physical inventory.
? Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
? Perform facilities maintenance duties including but not limited to: sweeping, dusting, mopping, and trash
disposal also inside company vehicles.
? Climb up and down ladder in a safe manner to retrieve or sort materials.
? Establish, maintain, and foster positive harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the
course of work.
? Perform additional duties as assigned.
III. Job Qualifications
? The abilities to read and write English, speak English, follow verbal and written instructions and use
simple math.
? The ability to send and receive company emails.
? Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license. Must have a safe driving record (no incidents
past 3 years)
? Techniques for providing a high level of customer service to customers, vendors and staff in person and
via the telephone
IV. Physical Demands
? Sitting, standing, and walking are the prominent physical requirements for the time spent within the office
and outside areas. Some time will be spent operating a personal computer and associated electronic
devices. Besides walking, standing, and sitting, this position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching,
crawling and turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists
and fingers, including lifting of equipment, inventory and business records. The Driver& Warehouse
Associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds,
occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job
include vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and
focus.
