Schedule Information
- PRN/as-needed scheduling
- Shifts are based on facility needs and candidate availability
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- One to two years of nursing experience required
- Previous hospital experience required
- Rehabilitation nursing experience preferred
- Experience caring for patients recovering from amputations, strokes, and hip or knee replacements preferred
- Strong patient-assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Proficiency with medication administration and clinical documentation
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders and facility procedures.
- Complete patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments safely.
- Support patients recovering from amputations, strokes, and joint-replacement procedures.
- Assist with rehabilitation goals and patient-care plans.
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and other clinical professionals.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments, recovery, and ongoing care needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate clinical staff.
- Follow all patient-safety, infection-control, and facility procedures.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to urgent patient needs.
- Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.
About the PRN Registered Nurse Role
