MIG Welder Job Details
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Location: Columbus, Ohio Area
MIG Welder Requirements/Qualifications
- Previous MIG welding experience required
- 1–3 years of MIG and TIG welding experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Strong knowledge of MIG welding techniques and welding safety practices
- Ability to perform quality welds on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Welding certification or technical training is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to inspect welds using measuring and inspection tools
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment
- High school diploma or GED preferred
About the MIG Welder Role
As a MIG Welder, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
- Setting up welding equipment and selecting appropriate wire and materials
- Producing high-quality welds that meet company and customer specifications
- Inspecting completed welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity
- Using measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Preparing materials by cleaning, grinding, cutting, and fitting components
- Maintaining welding equipment and reporting maintenance concerns
- Following all workplace safety procedures and quality standards
- Keeping work areas clean, organized, and production-ready
- Working with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines
