Janitor Job Details
Frankfort, KY
Pay: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Position Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Janitor Requirements
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage daily cleaning responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Ability to use standard cleaning equipment and supplies
Key Responsibilities
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Vacuum carpets and mop floors throughout the facility
- Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and other surfaces
- Clean interior windows, glass surfaces, and entryways
- Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
- Inspect completed work to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met
- Turn off lights and secure designated areas as needed
- Maintain cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when inventory is low
- Follow all safety procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and presentable
- Complete additional custodial duties as assigned
